Overview
Design and manufacturing of a suspension link with several geometries to perform subjective assessment of Kinematics & Compliance (K&C) performance on a prototype vehicle.
A hypercar OEM requested a physical validation and attribute sign-off of 3 different specs of an UCA to evaluate the K&C performance on a M1 prototype.
Design and manufacturing were directly integrated with attribute definition, enabling rapid iteration during development.
The flexibility of producing different geometries of the same component within a short timeframe allowed multiple variants to be tested on the same prototype vehicle during a single session.
This approach also reduced costs compared to machining prototype parts from solid material and significantly shortened the cycle from attribute analysis to component design modification and production of the test part.
