Overview
Outrigo framework for robust simulation was deployed to establish and validate the vehicle dynamics and handling performance targets for a motorsport application.
Challenges
The project required a robust and traceable process to define chassis system parameters and ensure that handling and performance objectives related to full vehicle performance in offline simulations as well as driver-in-the-loop simulator platforms.
Solution
Engineers carried out an integrated workflow for vehicle dynamics simulation and analysis, incorporating multibody suspension performance evaluation and chassis system target definition. The framework allowed rapid iteration and data-driven tuning of the suspension K&C characteristics, spring and damper rates, bushing stiffnesses, and anti-roll bar (ARB) characteristics to align with vehicle-level performance goals.
